Manager has advised / 2025:  While we strive to maintain all amenities in perfect working order, Jacuzzis & hot tubs cannot be guaranteed. These units contain complex parts that may occasionally break down and can be challenging to replace promptly. We appreciate your understanding.

Enjoy your day by the large infinity pool, with sea views, large sun deck  -  lounge chairs and additional seating on the pool deck.
Just steps away the fully furnished gazebo on the very wide jetty that extends out into the sea! 

Here you will find another living room setting, dining area and the wooden deck with ladder for easy access into the sea for swimming and snorkeling.

Makana has a suburb staff to take care of all your needs; butlers, a cook, housekeepers, gardener, laundress.
The state-of-the-art kitchen includes commercial ovens, refrigerator, freezer, microwave, and gas grill.
The talented Makana chef treats guests each week to barbecues of steaks, chicken, shrimp, pork and lobster fired on the outdoor gas grill.
Home cooked meals are served on the veranda, gazebo, or overlooking the seaside, garden and pool.

All of the spacious bedrooms, most with sitting areas, have private balconies/verandas with views of the bay. The en-suite baths are beautifully tiled

The owners of Makana have provided luxurious nighttime comfort by installing top-of-the-line mattresses and pillows, and hypo-allergenic down feather bed mattress toppers and lovely luxury linens. All bedrooms have closet safes and TV.

Bedroom 3~ Breadfruit Room
King size bed in 480-square-foot suite; en-suite bathroom with walk in shower, double vanity and stand alone shower - private balcony.

Bedroom 4~ Starfish Room - can accommodate 4 children
Two queen size beds in 450-square-foot suite; white marble en-suite bathroom with large walk in shower; private balcony and TV

Family Room: Luxuriously furnished and super comfortable room has a 64"LCD television and sound bar. Home office complete with apple computer, printer, phone and fax machine. Wireless internet throughout the villa.

Puerto Seco Beach – Complimentary to guests on Discovery Bay
Located near the entrance of Fortlands Road (a 10-15 minute walk or 3 minute drive from your villa), is the newest water park & beach club to the North Coast. For various fees, guests may enjoy the large aqua park, scuba diving, snorkeling, kayaks & paddleboards. The club hosts a full service bar and restaurant as well as private beach cabanas or sun loungers for rent.

Dear Vicki, The staff at Makana was amazing — There are not enough words to explain the week.  All of my family and friends were completely blown away, as was I. We had the absolute best time. 

We enjoyed every single aspect of Makana. Pickleball, swimming in the pool, using the hot tub, kayaks, we used the gym every day. I don’t think there was anything we didn’t use.  

The staff and the food were amazing. Denise is a wonderful chef, but even better person. So welcoming, meeting all our needs and preparing wonderful food. And she kept our costs to a minimum , which was nice. And without sacrificing food quality or quantity, there was not much waste - which she made a point of telling us when we arrived that she monitors our eating habits to not make too much. (That was NOT the case on our visit to Barbados a few years back and the grocery cost was way over the top)

I was thankful to have her as our chef. And if we requested something extra or special, she was quick to take care of us.  My birthday dinner was incredible!  Everyone was so happy and surprised at the steak and lobster and my birthday cake.  All the food she made was just incredible. No complaints at all! 

Henry, Sean, Courtney, and Kevin were the sweetest, kindest men.  Always asking us what we needed.. We certainly kept them busy with our drink requests and the pina coladas (my #1 drink of choice) were so delicious. They knew it was my drink so for my birthday they had one waiting for me - YUMMY! And thank you for your guidance on getting some alcohol before we got there.  I know they probably get these reviews all the time but I want you to know how wonderful they were. We even got them to dance with the group a couple of nights. 

The women that did our laundry and kept our rooms so clean and fresh were also amazing. We put our laundry in the basket at night and got it back folded and clean and smelling amazing . We said next time we come - we could pack a lot less. I know they are behind the scenes and probably don’t get as much praise as the staff we see everyday, but please pass on to the house manager, and to them, that they kept that house sparkling and welcoming every single day. 

The villa itself was beautiful, all the rooms were incredible and all of my guests kept saying they were pinching themselves and couldn’t believe they were there.  I myself felt so blessed to be able to do this for and with them.  I really cannot say enough good things about Makana and the staff. 

You were definitely correct in saying that we would not be disappointed. We are all talking about trying to go back again for the next person's birthday.

Some of the friends that went with me this time, also went to Barbados when I rented a villa. We compared the two and Makana met all of our needs and won the comparison!    Having the private beach, the pickleball courts and the hot tub just made it the best ever!  The trip itself was so wonderful!  Thank you for all you did and once again, the trip was truly a lifetime adventure that will not be forgotten!  Sincerely,  Molly    Jan 2025
