The villa feature two air-conditioned bedrooms with ceiling fans and French doors that lead to a cobblestone balcony that has partial ocean views and views of the Blue Mountains! ... perfect for morning coffee or cocktails at sunset!

Most meals are served on the covered patio area just off the living room with stunning views of the Caribbean, Navy Island, the Port Antonio Marina! Now and again you will see the sailboats and fishing boats come in and and our of the marina - a beautiful site!

The villa has a fully tiled bath & fully equipped kitchen. Furnishings from Bali & Jamaica were added to give an exotic / barefoot feel to the decor. You couldn't find a finer place to relax and enjoy the beautiful views that only Port Antonio can offer.

Tranquility Villa lives up to its name. The villa is beautiful. What you see in the pictures is what you get, but a million times better. The staff, Dennis & Shaunna, are a delight. Dennis is the caretaker of this beautiful property and is there to help you with anything you may need during your stay, but you have your privacy. He is there in the background to attend to any of your needs.Shaunna is the most wonderful of cooks. She cooks what you ask of her and always goes above and beyond. True Jamaican cooking! We were very spoiled and will miss her cooking. We used Charlie, the driver, to get around daily. He is very knowledgeable and such a great conversationalist. He took us to so many places, beaches, waterfalls, historic sites, etc…we are going to visit again as there are so many breathtaking places in Port Antonio and surrounding areas. Tranquility Villa was everything we wanted and so much more!  Feb 2024

Tranquility Villa is a wonderful place, sitting in the hills above Port Antonio with a beautiful view of the bay and the mountains. It’s perfect for those who want to experience a slice of traditional Jamaica. The rooms are clean and comfortable and the outdoor areas and pool are perfect for relaxing.

The staff are wonderful. Dennis, the onsite property keeper, is as present and social or as absent as you’d like him to be, which is just what you want. He also mixes a delicious fruit smoothie. Shana is a delight! She cleans the house flawlessly and her cooking is amazing. I went shopping with her at the local markets and down by the docks where the fishermen bring in the catch. She prepared delicious breakfasts and dinners for me each day, using the ingredients we’d picked up. Charlie, who drives guests for the property, made my visit memorable. He can reach what guests are looking for. In my case, it’s the local experience. He hooked me up with a river guide to take me down the Rio Grande, a waterfall guide to climb Reach Falls, and a Blue Mountain coffee farmer who grows and roasts his own beans on his one acre farm.

I’ve had a fantastic holiday at Tranquility. It was exactly what I needed.
The staff were wonderful. Dennis is as present and social or as absent as you’d like him to be, which is what you want from a property keeper. Shanna is a delight. Her cooking is amazing. I took your advice and went with her and Charlie to the market and the fishermen to get local produce for her to prepare. She also takes great care of the house. And Charlie is a keeper. He’s made my visit memorable. He can read what guests are looking for. In my case, it’s the local experience and so he’s made sure I’ve had that in spades. He’s hooked me up with a great river guide, a local coffee farmer, and a great local fruit stand. I’ve been paying him in cash as we’ve gone along. I’m an admittedly generous tipper so have given him 20%. For Dennis and Shanna, I will also give 20% of the rental as well
Port Antonio is now under my skin. Apparently Noel Coward referred to ‘Dr. Jamaica’ which is what I’ve found on this trip. I’d like to return to Tranquility Villa in the future. I love this property. It’s so peaceful, well-located and well-maintained. All the best, Ben 


This place is CLEAN. The cottage is a beautiful, strong structure on a hill with fabulous views. It has features that ensure safety and security. The house is well cared for and everything is extremely clean and tidy. The property is WELL-MAINTAINED. The property is filled with flowering plants and the lawn and garden is very well tended. Bird song greets you in the morning. You will spot birds flying overhead. Dragonflies lazily pass over head. Plants are vibrant in their colors. The pool is amazing. It is just the right size for this property. It too is very well maintained. The staff are PROFESSIONAL. Dennis (caretaker) and Shanna (helper & cook) are fabulous to have around. They are unobtrusive. You will be welcomed, shown the place, your meals will be prepared, rooms tidied and you will not feel disturbed in anyway. They are a credit to this host.

If your looking for a trip that feels less touristy and more authentic then this home was a perfect home away from home. I felt so comfortable some days that I almost forgot that I don’t live here. The staff was helpful and very polite. The views are stunning. Very close to town. About 15-30 mins from Frenchman, San San, blue lagoon beaches. Shanna can cook for you, and Dennis knows pretty much everything about the island. I’ll def be back. Thank you!


Tranquility was truly it's namesake. We visited recently and had a fantastic time. The home is well kept, yard is beautiful with many flowers and trees around. We saw a few different birds dropping by include a couple hummingbirds. Sitting outside and listening to the sounds of the leaves moving in the wind, the birds singing was so relaxing and calming. Dennis (houseman), Shanna (cook/housekeeper) and Charlie (driver) were great, the food was delicious, the hospitality on point, will definitely be back! 

Dear Vicki, I can't begin to say enough about our stay at Tranquility Villa. It surpassed all our expectations and then some! If you are looking for a five-star hotel with all the amenities...this may not be the place for you BUT if you are looking for lovely, relaxing spot tucked away in the lush hills of Port Antonio where the food is ten times better than a Michelin Star restaurant, the service is exemplary and the accommodation is clean, quaint and comfy. I would recommend everyone visit this place at least once in a life time...it was this medicine that I needed and I most definitely will return. "Hi Fives" to the staff at Tranquility Villa, Bev and Dennis...there's hardly a request that they won't attempt to fulfill. Book this Villa today...you won't be sorry!! Thank you, Rick

Good morning Vicki, What an Amazing Place! I have stayed here before and can never wait to get back. I live in Negril and this is where I escape the maddening crow. The Location is incredible hidden on the edge of Blue Mountain Rain Forest . Just a four min drive straight up from center of Port Antonio nestles you in this verdant spot. So much to do close by, but it takes me a few days to get off the veranda, over looking Navy Island, ... or my back balcony watching the incredible and unique Blue Mountains. Great staff , world-wide telephone to call any where complimentary. Now that's Service! I highly recommend this place as the owners have a real understanding and appreciation of Jamaica that they TRULY LOVE TO SHARE! Thank you all, I will be back soon!

Dear Vicki, I just wanted to write and tell you about our wonderful our stay at Tranquility Villa. Everything was just idyllic...the property, the community of Port Antonio, but especially the amazing care and hospitality shown to my family by Dennis and Beverly. They went above and beyond in accommodating our family needs and making us feel as though Tranquility Villa was our very own home. We have stayed at other guest homes with terrific staff, but Dennis and Beverly beat them all.
